BOIS 1920 (Bottega Italiana Spigo) symbolises the love of the Florentine family Galardi for making perfumes. It all began in 1920 when Guido Galardi, the founder, starts experimenting with his first formulas. He collects lavender (in Tuscan; spigo) that grows in the fields on the hills around Florence.

Guido's feeling and craftsmanship is passed to his grandson Enzo who, at the age of 13, starts to regularly meet the great experts of perfumes. In 1985 Enzo turns his passion into his profession.

In 2005 Enzo Galardi creates, in honour of his grandfather Guido, the collection BOIS 1920. He interprets the original formulas from 1920 to our time and uses only the finest and purest ingredients. Spread over the diverse collections, the BOIS 1920 collection consists of 27 refined and unique eaux de parfum with complex and intriguing bouquets. They are characterized by a long shelf life in eye-catching packaging with bottles, made by a Tuscan master glassblower, of frosted opal glass, richly gilded with 24 carat gold leaf, and hand-coloured until the use of coloured glass. The cap, made of precious ebony or with enamel finished steel, harmonizes with the logo of BOIS 1920, effortlessly with the bottle.

Rosendo Mateu is het levende voorbeeld van een self-made man, dit wordt weerspiegeld in zijn werk en vooral in zijn perfectionisme dat elk van zijn creaties raakt. Rosendo is al 40 jaar één van de specialisten bij Puig, één van 's werelds meest prestigieuze parfumbedrijven. Gedurende die tijd heeft hij tientallen geuren ontwikkeld, die zijn persoonlijke signatuur dragen en de ambitie hebben om een combinatie van commercialiteit te bereiken samen met het creëren van een uniek product.

Na zijn werk voor enkele van de grootste internationale merken, wijdde Rosendo een deel van zijn tijd aan meer ambitieuze projecten, zoals de ontwikkeling van op maat gemaakte parfums, die hem ertoe bracht onderwerpen te bestuderen die zo uiteenlopend waren als de Griekse beschaving, het Romeinse Rijk of de schilderijen van Francis Bacon. CASAMORATI EN HET HUIS VAN SAVOYE

De meest ongebruikelijke en meest prestigieuze prijs voor Mr. Casamorati was een persoonlijk ontvangen onderscheiding van de Italiaanse koningin Margherita van Savoye. Tijdens een bezoek aan een van de Italiaanse tentoonstellingen wilde Hare Majesteit de parfumeur bedanken voor de uitstekende kwaliteit van toiletzeep. Omdat zij geen passende munt bij de hand had, nam zij haar gouden broche af en gaf deze aan haar parfumeur in dankbaarheid en diep respect.
